PEDRING THE WORST FOR BULACAN TOWN

By abs-cbnNEWS.com The local government of Obando in Bulacan has placed the town under state of calamity after its 11 barangays were submerged in flood waters brought by typhoon "Pedring." Speaking to ANC, Obando Mayor Orencio Gabriel said the damage sustained by the coastal town was worse than what super typhoon Ondoy brought 2 years ago. According to Gabriel, around 600 houses were destroyed by the typhoon. Eight dykes supposed to hold off water from Manila Bay were also destroyed. |
