PALACE: PHL NOT AGAINST EUROPEAN INVESTMENTS

The Philippine government is not deliberately biased against European investments despite the cancellation or suspension of some projects as part of the Aquino administration’s effort to ensure the success of its Public-Private Partnership program.

“We need to clarify. We’re not against foreign governments. We are not against theEuropean governments. We looked into some of the projects and some of the projects we found were not in accordance with law,” presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said yesterday in a press briefing.
