MERALCO TO MATCH P11.1-M PETRON OFFER FOR BORBORAN

By Reynaldo Belen, InterAKTV  Shortly after acquiring the rights to former Alaska forward Mark Borboran, Meralco was faced with a competing offer for the ex-UE stalwart’s services from Petron Blaze.PBA commissioner Chito Salud disclosed that the Boosters tendered Borboran an P11.1-million deal, which would pay the versatile lefty P275,000 in the first year,P300,000 in the second year, and P350,000 in the third year. Salud added that Meralco had five days to match the Petron Blaze offer.  |
