by abs-cbnNEWS.com  Government auditors reveal the Office of the Ombudsman under Merceditas Gutierrez went on a shopping spree last year, exceeding budget allocations for motor vehicles, books, medical supplies and special events.A Commission on Audit report said the Ombudsman exceeded budget allocations for five items in its Annual Procurement Plan for 2010. This was done through a P23 million supplemental annual procurement plan, which was on top of the P476 million procurement plan for last year.  |
