1,000 NABBED ON 'CONFUSING' FIRST DAY OF MMDA'S MOTORCYCLE LANE POLICY

The number of motorcycle riders who were arrested for violating the government’s motorcycle lane policy reached 1,000 as of 6 pm Monday, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

Confusion marked the first day today of the dry run of the new policy, which is being implemented on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City and on Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City. On Macapagal Blvd., violators were given a 15 minute lecture by the MMDA and then issued a sticker to show they had been taught a lesson.
